Arriving in Wyoming

Tuesday, July 1 - After a big day exploring the Black Hills, we headed West into Wyoming. We're excited to have 4 nights ahead in the state. We drove to Buffalo, WY, a very small historic (but non-touristy) town along I-90. We picked it because it has a very historical hotel (to be described in the next post). As we were driving, the Emergency Broadcasting System broke into the radio station, and said that there was a severe thunderstorm with high winds to the north of us. As it got darker, we started to see tons of lighting on the horizon. It was really something - I'd never seen anything like that before. We tried to take photos, but to no avail... As the wind was picking up and the rain started to come down, we came upon a dude on a motorcycle who must have been very unhappy about storm coming. The storm freaked Sandy out a bit, but we arrived in Buffalo safe and sound.
