Bison on Parade

Thursday, July 3 - So, they always say that you never know when traffic is going to get held up in Yellowstone. People often pull over to watch wildlife, or an animal is on the road. Well, this was quite a surprise when saw that a whole parade of bison had stopped traffic right by a scenic lookout point. You don't want to get too close to them, so I stopped this video short when I needed to get back into the car...

Equally as entertaining as watching the wildlife is watching the humans watch the wildlife. Sometimes, in the case of the bison parade, we saw people really getting too close to take a picture. Other times, there is a crowd on the side of the road watching the animals. We were particularly entertained by this guy using his car to get a better vantage point looking at some elk.
