Roadkill Update #3 - SPECIAL EDITION

This entry is a special addition due to the last item on 7/2. See below…

Wednesday, July 2:
1 deer
2 unidentified
1 big bird (possibly a duck)
1 skunk
1 obliterated
1 bloody
1 Roadkill in action. We were approaching the East Gate to Yellowstone on this beautiful, tranquil evening soaking in the scenery just past the Buffalo Bill Dam outside of Cody, WY. We were behind a minivan, feeling very excited about our impending arrival in Yellowstone. All of a sudden, a rabbit darts out into the road from the right. The minivan - probably filled with a family - swerved slightly to try to avoid the bunny, but to no avail. The little guy only made it halfway under the vehicle, then BAM -- the fur flew. Literally. It all happened so fast. Life’s tough in the wild west.

Thursday, July 3 (Yellowstone and Grand Teton):
It was a very light day, probably because we were in the national parks and the speed limit is low. Plus, everyone is so alert for bison, elk and other large game.
4 unidentified
Today's "Animals On The Road" highlight: The Bison Parade.

Friday, July 4:
Nothing. We were just back and forth on the road from Teton Village to Jackson.

Total to date: 69
