Entering "The West"
First off, we noticed that the Missouri River looks a heck of a lot wider than the Mississippi, at least at the points we crossed. They say that the West begins when you cross the Missouri , and it's really true. The landscape definitely looks different. To the East, it is the flat great plains. To the West, the hills start rolling as we get closer to the Black Hills.
