Saturday, July 5 - This National Monument definitely delivered on it’s name. Black craggy lava fields that definitely felt moon-like. It had a very similar feel to the lava fields that we saw in Icelend (where Sandy and I visited in 2004 and 2006), except that it felt like a dry hot desert here.
