Monday, July 7 - Awesome half day in Portland. Perfect weather. After breakfast, Sandy wanted to get a photo with the doorman in the Beefeater uniform before heading out. We then went up to the NW part of town - Alphabet District to have some lunch. We ate outside at Papa Haydn's, and then walked around on NW 23rd Street. We stopped in at Moonstruck Chocolates, where they have their own election scorecard, are keeping a tally of which sell more: chocolate elephants or chocolate donkeys. Not surprisingly, the donkeys were ahead in Portland...
Before heading out of town, we made a quick stop at Washington Park above the city to check out the Rose Garden.
